Photo Opps

Seems like a good time to share some of the great photos folks have sent along. Today is a dog day. Cat people may tune in later this week - for some outstanding kitty and cat pictures. BTW, did anyone out there know that a group of kittens - not all related to each other - is called a kindle? And a group of cats is called a clowder? Found this great info over at About where Franny Syufy is the Cat expert.

Now...PUPPY PICs - all together now: Awwww, aren't they cute? (makes ya wanna kiss'em and hug'em, doesn't it?)  

These are little ones from family and friends. Some of these puppy's people live in New York, others live in Colorado. Regardless of where they live, we love them ALL! #1 is LeeLu...she greets us when we visit Paula and Steve. The middle kids belong to my daughter's friend, Stacia. And the last little cutie is a new puppy at my sister's house. [note to Maryanne: where are the puppy pics on Powdering Our Noses????]

Moving up the scale, here are the big guys... Our very own Carmel. She's 14 but she doesn't know it! I read recently that dogs of her breed, part Shepard, part Lab, usually live to be 13. I guess Carmel didn't read that report. We're sure glad! She still dances around the foyer every morning when it's time for her walk.

And, this is Reznor. I can't figure out why his people (who happen to be related to me) put him in this silly coat. Maybe someone else out there can explain it. What's the scoop here? He's a dog. It look like a nice day in the CO mountains. What's he need this goofy coat for? Poor Reznor!

That "silly coat" that Reznor is wearing is his rain coat! Those of us who frequent the mountains know that there is always a chance of rain. So, when we are backpacking we keep it on him so he doesn't get very wet. We all love our dogs, but I don't think we like their smell when they are soaked!
