Best Buddy Pet Products: Introducing the Strock

My constant whining and worrying over Carmel and her bad leg got some interesting results recently. While I was in CO, a very nice woman wrote to tell me she'd been through this nervous ordeal herself. And, she came up with a neat solution - similar to mine, but better. (she didn't say 'better'- I did.)

Lyn Townshend is a true entrepreneur at heart. She's a pet lover (just look at her with Buddy, if that isn't love, I don't know what is), and she is finally finding fame (fortune to come) with a new invention. According to information Lyn sent me, her product is a one of a kind... and it addresses the awful ordeal of having a pet with a lick granuloma, or some other wound to a leg. Here's some of her story:Happy_buddy_in_lyns_arms

Townshend's story began simply enough out of necessity when her dog, Buddy, hurt one of his front paws. It wasn't a serious injury that required any bandaging, but he immediately began licking it and causing irritation to the small wound. "I knew if I didn't stop him from doing this, it would become infected and that would require medical attention. Since he stays home alone during the day, I had to come up with a way to prevent him...

from bothering just one paw, but didn't want to use the restrictive E-collar (the "lamp shade") that I have from the veterinarian."

So... she invented something better. Something she calls the Strock(tm) (strap and sock combined), thatBuddy_and_his_strocks  is water-proof (stands the test of licking) and comfortable, it's soft to the leg. Lyn got to go on The American Inventor and was soon interviewed by Inc. Magazine. Now, she has a website (Best Buddy Pet Products) and is offering this unique and useful invention to all pet owners. Her invention is also listed on Pet Gadgets.com.

Let's hear it for Lyn! Hip-hip-hurray! I think I'll buy one and keep it around, in case Carmel has a relapse. It's cost-effective enough that I might buy two or three, just in case! If you try it, let us know how it works.

Hat's off to Lyn and The Strock(tm) (although, I think I would have called it The Sockrap... isn't is easy after the fact to tell people what to do? Sorry, Lyn. Your invention is great... let's all Strock along!)

Hi Everyone, I would just like to tell you how VERY PROUD I am of all that Lyn has accomplished with her Best Buddy Product "The Strock". She has always been a very dedicated and hard working individual who has an enormous love of animals. She started this business with so much determination that I just knew that she would succeed and she has! Her business continues to grow and defersify and I believe she will continue on that path. Keep it going, Lyn.Mom

I am a business coach and work with lots of entrepreneurs, and Lyn is without a doubt one of the most passionate, focused and dedicated people to her business that I have ever worked with. Lyn came to me to get her business venture launched and quickly became a quick study on how to make this business move forward in a successful manner. Like all businesses, especially start-ups, there are a lot of ups and downs, successes and failures to endure. However, through it all Lyn never gave up her vision of helping other pets and owners avoid the uncomfortable use of the elizabethan collar for their pets. Lyn is truly an entrepreneur in every sense of the word and continues to move her company forward based on her passion and commitment to make better products for our BEST BUDDIES.

Hi Lyn the site looks most impessive hope all is going well with you and your buddy c ya luv ya buy buy

Hey Yvonne - Thank you very much for the posting! OK, so I can take the "hit" on the name and would've definitely considered the "Sockrap" when I was naming it! As your story illustrates, it's been quite an exciting journey so far and this product really, truly is just to help our precious family members be more comfortable while healing! That is, and always will be, the bottom line for us. Thanks for your time and interest. I hope sincerely to be in contact again in the future. Take care, Lyn and Buddy Townshend, Best Buddy Pet Products
