Okay, here's the scoop (no, not that kind of scoop!), in my trolling the net a few days ago looking for... pet stories, I came across this neat item in the San Jose Mercury News: "Is your pet the world's greatest?"
According to Linda Goldston, "It's time we had a contest." I assume she means the paper, or people with pets, I'm not sure, but I think she's right. So, I'm encouraging you to vote for your favorite story out of 10 over at Rally to Rescue. When you get there, you'll see that you can buy rescue T-shirts, too. Now, who doesn't need another T-shirt?
There's event a section called "Rally Across America 2007" with details on all the locations the rally will take place. I LOVE the stories and pictures. And the winner gets $5,000 of pet food.* Tune in and take notes. I'm sure this will give you ideas for your own "Doing More for Pets Rescue" story, for next year.
Maybe you, too, can create an event in your local area that will rally around pets. Because, after all, isn't YOUR pet the greatest in the world?
