Just heard from some folks in the UK that a new pet site has launched. Looks pretty good, to me.
The site, All About Pets, comes out of the UK and is brought to us by Blue Cross, Britain's pet charity. (hmmm...guess they don't know that Blue Cross in the U.S. is a health insurance company) . Anyway, it's a pet community. You can create a profile, upload pics and videos, and connect with other pet people.
There's a section of pet articles like Choosing the Right Cat or Introducing Your Dog to the Family. The "Brought to you by The Blue Cross" is a little too prominent for my tastes, but the site is in beta, so... they are openly soliciting comments and feedback.
I like this page of events near you. That seems like a great idea - I'd love to have access here, in the U.S. to know what kind of dog shows or cat shows or whatever are being hosted close enough for me to attend.
So, what do you think? Do we need another pet community, even one so far away? (ok, ok...nothing is 'far away' on the net...)
