My good blogging friend, Toby Bloomberg, has a great marketing blog called Diva Marketing. I don't visit it as often as I should, but I was writing about her on my other blog today, so...I stopped over at Diva
Marketing and I'm glad I did! I think Fate was nudging me there.
Here's why... Toby has a wonderful interview with Paw Luxury, which produces eco dog products. I found toothpaste for your dog, at Paw Luxury, and toys, and beds, and bath products. As well as treats and such. BTW, Toby is the proud Mom of Max, seen here at his best.
The reason I'm writing about them here, is because Toby wrote about them...and because one of the questions she asked was, "Why participate in so many social networks?" To which the Paw Luxury person (no, they didn't pretend it was a dog...thank goodness!) said, "It allows you to connect with people of the same interest, meet people with different interest, engage in interesting conversation as well as being a great networking tool."
Wow. I love that.
Blogs and Twitter and Facebook, et al...being used as networking tools.
We tell people that all the time. Since I've started this petblog, I've met so many outstanding people... a good number who operate shelters, some rescue sites, lots of terrific pet people and a number of Purina employees who are as devoted to their pets as I am to Carmel and Wabby Wibby. And, Toby is to Max.
That's why places such as the Luxury Pet Pavilion exist. That is where Toby was making a presentation on August 2nd, and where she talked about social media and how it's "an important strategy to communicate and build relationships with customers, prospects, and the media..."
I like what I see on the Luxury Pet Pavilion website. It's focused on pets, and on providing education, much as we are, here. I love talking pets, giving you news on Carmel and Wabby, but Dr. Larry and I really want to help educate our readers on helping give your pets a very healthy, happy life...one that includes nutritious food.
Hmmm...I wonder if I can start something locally...hmmm...

Max and I thank you for the shout out. Should not come as a surprise that scratchings and sniffings was highlighted in my presentation :-)
