Navajo dogs are like ordinary white dogs with small black dotted spots. are they somewhat a special breed of dogs?


In my intimate experience with the Navajo, as a whole they are complete monsters to their animals. They claim to adhere to traditional ways of "respect to living creature and their environment" but I see none of it. I see a people who are foolishly ignorant of animal welfare. What can you expect from a people that can barely care for themselves?

Can't say things are much better on the Blackfeet rez in Northern Montana. Just passed through this morning.


5 years ago I had the joy of running across the United States - on US 160 between Kayenta and Tuba City I was followed by one of these mangy dogs...he lived in the RV the rest of the trip to California and we got him back to health. I still have this amazing dog. It broke my heart to see other strays and dead dogs on the rez...it's even harder to think about the people...
