Today's Scratchings & Sniffings Out Loud session with Dr. Grace and Dr. Larry covers some of the symptoms and treatments for renal failure in cats and dogs.
Most often seen in elderly cats, this discussion covers what to look for and how veterinarians treat for this serious issue. I learned that it's almost a given, if your cat lives long enough. And since Wabby is hitting 17 soon, I am on the alert for renal failure symptoms. Of course, as Dr. Grace says, twice a year visits to the vet, for an exam, blood work, and a urinalysis are the surefire ways of heading this off at the pass.
Listen to our discussion, and tune in next week for the conclusion of renal failure in cats and dogs.
