Oh boy, today was fantastic! The sun was up and shining by 7 a.m. Temps got well above 50 degrees before 10 a.m. We knew we had to take the fur-kids out early enough that it wouldn't bother Olive. She not only gets tired on our long walks, but in hot weather, she labors to breathe properly. Come summer, we'll be out by six a.m. or not at all.
Emily enjoyed the beautiful Colorado weather, pulling Tom along with her sexy strut. She doesn't know how to just 'walk'. She's always got that back end wiggling, tail waving, eyes on the horizon, if her nose isn't to the ground. She does seem to find a lot more to sniff at here in Thornton, than she did in Frederick. That's kinda strange to me because in Frederick there were horses and cows nearby. Here, there are only dogs. But, I guess she's more interested in dogs.
We all basked in the warmth and sunshine today. We opened windows, left the screen door on the back (and Molly quickly perched there, the better to see the birds, of course!), and did our best to bring some of the refreshing outdoors into the house. The weather is expected to turn colder come Tuesday, back to the mid fifties, I think. That's not bad, but... it can't compete with a day like today.
Oh, I forgot to take my phone on the walk so I didn't get any good pictures. Only after we got home... here they are...all tired out, each in their own way. (and Molly enjoying the air from the screened door)
