Happy Holidays everyone, from Tom (S&S-blogger-behind-the-curtain) Collins!
One family tradition I've always loved sharing with my kids around the holidays is putting together jigsaw puzzles. The harder the better and with daughter Elizabeth's love of her Golden Retriever "Kali" and horses, many of the puzzles over the years have been dog, cat, or horse themed.
With son Brendan living in Tokyo and Yvonne and me moving across the country to Colorado, I wasn't expecting to keep that tradition going. So I was thrilled when Yvonne and I walked into daughter Chloe's house last week to find her hunched over hundreds of tiny pieces on the dining room table. And the picture on the box? A series of winter scenes with a big horse-drawn sleigh in the middle!
Then, yesterday we found her working a new one with six or seven puppies lined up in Christmas stockings. BTW, both of Chloe's puzzles were devilishly difficult, with CURVED edges and NO CORNERS!!!
Ahhh, tradition alive and well.
So my holiday gift to all of you is one I can share with all our kids spread around the world, Elizabeth and Don back in Rochester, NY, Maggie and Chris in Buffalo, and Brendan and Natsuko in Tokyo: A pair of Pet Pic Puzzles, using the photo shared over on our Facebook page by Reba Messina.
