Dolly the Doxie

I'm with you on the dog show. Actually I never watched it at all and just now started I guess because of my blog. Mostly because I think I've come to terms and accepted responsible breeding and chose to go after puppy mills instead. Not sure if I would ever want another Dachshund after Dolly but my sister almost adopted an older one from a rescue but there were a few ahead of her!

I am with you! Why do they have the Dog Show on Thanksgiving!!?? But....they often repeat it on Saturday (or Friday, can't remember)......but we were busy then too! Hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. FYI Dakota is a purebred Sheltie....at that time I didn't know about Pet Transport (wasn't a blogger yet).....the closest Sheltie rescue was FAR away. But...his breeder is a Vet, they couldn't show Dakota (he didn't meet the exact standards of the breed), so we got him when he was 8 mos old.

This is one of the first years that I watched the dog show. We stayed home with the dogs since our children have moved to Washington. There were some amazing breeds showcased. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.

From ranting I keep hearing, lots of people should take her advice and nap more. Love your message of connection.
